Pothole I

You don't say anything about a pothole in the road that runs in front of your house except, "I wish someone would fill it."

You never talk about your father.






Pothole II

You really shouldn't read, analyze, or critically discuss your own poetry.




Pothole III

For the sake of argument: if there is a pothole in the road that runs in front of your house, you shouldn't decide to fill it yourself unless you are qualified to fill potholes,

and assured that your DIY-pothole filling is good enough to be mistaken

for the roadwork performed by the county to which you pay taxes,

as it is, at the minimum, frowned upon in many places to alter civic property.

The analogy was sound.



Pothole IV

If you were to ask a contractor to come fill the pothole, no one would say you have Pothole Issues.
